Psychological symptoms and sexual satisfaction in polygamic and monogamic wives

Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the sexual satisfaction and mental health indicators in polygamous monogamous women Turkey. The included 108 female participants: 36 wives 72 wives. 
 Materials Methods: participants were evaluated with Symptom Check List (SCL-90-R) Golombok-Rust Inventory of Sexual Satisfaction (GRISS). Results: There significant differences between groups regarding total GRISS score Dissatisfaction, Sensuality, Vaginismus, Anorgasmia subscale scores. In comparing SCL-90 scores ANOVA, senior wife group had significantly higher Depression subscales. Monogamic from their lives less frequent psychiatric symptoms than polygamic Conclusion: It is important raise awareness about family structure, draw attention often neglected issues such as health, improve services provided this group.
